Wow, it’s the last full week of January already. Time moves fast when you’re active! I’ve had another productive week of learning. Most of the learning time this week has been devoted to diving headfirst into learning React. Working through a couple of introductions to the web component framework has been a lot of fun. I also completed week three, covering Logistic Regression, of the Stanford Machine Learning class.

On the reading front, I’ve been immersed in reading Tools of Titans by Tim Ferriss. The book is a gold mine of ideas from some of the most successful people in the world. I recommend it for anyone curious about tricks others are using to achieve success. Beyond that, I finished The Charisma Myth. It’s a good look on how to improve our conversation skills. The three keys to Charisma are as follows:

  1. Presence
  2. Warmth
  3. Power

On the Next…

I plan to spend this week completing the React courses I’m working through. I will also continue on with the fourth week of the Machine Learning course. On top of that, I want to start reviewing algorithms again. It might be time to crack open The Algorithm Design Manual for a reread.
